Jose Vincent-Sosa and Edwin Dinarte Moreno, as well as an unnamed minor, have been charged with abduction and gang participation.

Three people have been arrested in connection with the disappearance of an 18-year-old Bryant Alternative High School student earlier this month, the Fairfax County Police announced Monday.

Jose Vincent-Sosa, 20, and Edwin Dinarte Moreno, 18, as well as an unnamed female minor, have been charged with abduction and gang participation in relation to the Aug. 3 disappearance of Miguel Angel Ruiz Carrillo.

Carrillo, who was last seen on Aug. 3, remains missing. His parents reported him missing after he failed to return to his home in the 4200 block of Buckman Road the morning of Aug. 4. A few days later police changed his status to “endangered/missing,” and said that his life may be in danger.

Carrillo, who police say was involved with a gang, was last seen in a wooded area near the end of Pole Road at Pondside Terrace, not far from his home. FOX 5 reported that Carrillo’s mom said she was told her son was fishing at the pond when he was attacked by a group of men.

Police, including K9 units and the Fairfax1 helicopter, searched the area extensively last week, according to an NBC Washington report

Police have not said which specific gang or gangs the suspects and Carrillo are believed to be involved with.
