Police blotter: Man shot and wounded by acquaintance

A 20-year-old man suffered non-life-threatening injuries Wednesday evening after being shot by an acquaintance, according to today’s Fairfax County Police blotter.

The shooting happened around 7:45 p.m. in the 3500 block of Robert E. Lee Place in the Hybla Valley area. Police say their investigation into the incident is ongoing, and did not say if the shooting was intentional or accidental, or if any charges had been filed.

Larceny: 2500 block of Parkers Lane, property from vehicle

Incidents reported over the July 4 weekend in the Mount Vernon police district:

Stolen Vehicle/Arrest: Officers responded for a report of a suspicious vehicle near the intersection of Gleaves Court and Sprayer Street around 5:30 p.m. on July 2. An investigation determined the car had been reported stolen in Prince George’s County, Md. Two suspects were located and arrested. Andre Drummond Thompson, 20, of Alexandria, was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property. The second suspect, a juvenile, was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with possession of stolen property and possession of marijuana.
