The Fairfax County Public School year is coming to a close, and the class of 2017 begins receiving their diplomas Thursday.

The Richmond Highway-area graduations begin with Bryant Alternative High School on Thursday. Bryant will graduate 83 seniors — the most the school has ever had in a single graduation, according to Principal Tangy Millard.

West Potomac will be one of the last schools in the county to hold their ceremony, with their seniors scheduled to walk across the stage next Wednesday.

West Potomac and Edison are among 16 county schools that will hold their graduations at EagleBank Arena at George Mason University.
