Carjacking victim out thousands

The victim in a May 8 carjacking near Huntington spoke to NBC Washington about her ordeal earlier this week. Elizabeth Slentz was ordered out of her SUV at gunpoint at the intersection of East Drive and Telegraph Road on her way to work. The suspect took her Nissan Rogue and later crashed the vehicle in Jefferson Manor before trying to flee from police on foot.

Slentz was not injured in the incident, and the suspect was caught by police later that morning. However, Slentz’s vehicle was totaled and her insurance did not cover the full cost of the eight-month old SUV. See the full story on NBC Washington
