Mount Vernon District public safety meeting is Wednesday night

Mount Vernon Supervisor Dan Storck is hosting a public safety meeting Wednesday night at Walt Whitman Middle School.
The meeting will include Fairfax County Police representatives from the Mount Vernon police district station, as well as the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office. Topics of discussion will include Fairfax County’s Diversion First Program, and an overview of the Sheriff’s Office policies and procedures.
This event is open to the public. Registration is encouraged, but not required (the event has a maximum capacity of 300).
Walt Whitman Middle School is located at 2500 Parkers Lane (see map).
