Update: Missing 14-year-old girl found safe in Oklahoma
Update, March 4, 11:10 p.m.: The Fairfax County Police announced tonight that the missing girl has been located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Because she is a minor, her name has now been removed from the site.
“She is in good health and will be returned home,” the police said in a statement. “Detectives will continue to work closely with her and her family.”
Original story: The Fairfax County Police and FBI are looking for the public’s help in finding a missing girl last seen in the Alexandria section of the county.
[Name removed], 14, has been missing since Tuesday, Feb. 28. Authorities did not say if she was considered endangered, but police detectives are concerned about her welfare.
[Name removed] is described as being black with brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 230 pounds. She may be wearing glasses. She was last seen wearing sky-blue pants, a black bomber jacket and black sandals.
[Name removed] is a county resident, but police and the FBI did not specify what part of the county she lived in, nor did they say the specific location where she was last seen.
[Name removed]’s disappearance is not believed to be gang-related, a police spokesman said.
