Man convicted of 2015 murder in Hybla Valley
A Fairfax County man was convicted last week of shooting a man to death near a Hybla Valley apartment complex in 2015.
Charles Kibler, 31, was found guilty of first degree murder in the death of Jose Anibar Cisneros, according to a Fairfax County Circuit Court representative.
Anibar Cisneros, 34, was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the 7100 block of Groveton Gardens Road shortly after 3 a.m. on Oct. 4, 2015. He died at a local hospital a short time later.
Anibar Cisneros lived in the 7200 block of Harrison Lane, which is about two blocks from the crime scene.
Police charged Kibler with killing Anibar Cisneros’s in July 2016. At the time, Kibler was already in the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on different charges.
According to Fairfax County court records, Kibler had an extensive record prior to being charged with Anibar Cisneros’s murder. Among the most serious charges was a 2010 conviction for felony assault and a 2007 misdemeanor conviction of brandishing a firearm.
In between the time of Anibar Cisneros’s murder in Oct. 2015 and Kibler’s arrest in July 2016, Kibler was arrested at least two other times, including a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in June 2016.
Blake Woloson, Kibler’s lawyer, could not immediately be reached for comment.
