Curtis Watson, 34, is facing five felonies and four misdemeanors charges for allegedly abducting a 28-year-old woman and their daughter this morning, according to police. Watson turned himself into Prince George’s County Police earlier this afternoon, according to a Fairfax County Police press release.
Original story: Fairfax County Police are looking for a man after a domestic abduction involving a 6-month-old child this morning in the Hybla Valley area.
Curtis Watson, 34, is wanted for allegedly abducting a 28-year-old woman and their daughter this morning, according to a police spokesman.
Watson allegedly approached the woman outside her home on Little Hunting Creek Drive, grabbed her and forced her back inside, spokesman Don Gotthardt said. Watson is said to have then tied the woman to a chair in the house before taking her to her car and restraining her again there.
After forcing her to drive around for approximately an hour with the couple’s baby in the back seat, Watson told the woman to return to her home. When he left the vehicle to go inside the house, the victim was able to free herself enough to drive to a nearby Wendy’s, where she called police around 8:30 a.m, Gotthardt said.
Neither the baby nor the woman were injured during the incident, police said.
K9 units and the Fairfax Police helicopter searched for Watson, but he remains at large. He is believed to be armed with a knife, police said.
Watson’s last known address is New Carrolton, Maryland, but police aren’t sure if that’s still where he lives.
