Police blotter: Man refuses to give up pizza to robber

A man refused to give up his pizza to a robber Saturday night near Sacramento Drive, even after getting punched by the assailant, according to today’s Fairfax County Police blotter.

The incident happened in the 8500 block of Hyman Way around 8:20 p.m. The victim was walking by himself with the pizza when the robber came up to him and demanded the pie, police said. When the victim said no, the robber hit him, but the man still do not let go of his food. At that point the suspect took off.

Police say the victim did not need medical attention. 

Report of weapons brandishing

Someone called the police Sunday night around 11:50 and reported that a man was walking around and waving a gun in the air in the 8000 block of Richmond Highway, according to the blotter. Officers responding to the call saw a group of men leave a nearby 7-Eleven and get into an SUV. One of the three men matched the description of the gun-wielding man, according to police.

The SUV was pulled over and searched, and two handguns and narcotics were found inside, police said. It’s not clear if there were any arrests; police only noted that the investigation is ongoing.
