Chamber secretary, EDA rep to talk at LDACO meeting Wednesday
The next few weeks are packed with various civic and political meetings, and first in line is the monthly Lee District Association of Civic Organizations meeting this Wednesday at 7:30 p.m at the Franconia Governmental Center.
All Lee District residents are invited to attend the meeting. This month’s gathering will focus on economic development, and features two guest speakers: Holly Dougherty, the executive director of the Mount Vernon-Lee Chamber of Commerce, and Rodney Lusk of the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority. Lusk also used to serve as the Lee District planning commissioner.
LDACO serves as an umbrella organization for civic and homeowners associations in the Lee District, and aims to promote communication between those groups and the Fairfax County government.
LDACO meetings are held monthly at the Franconia Governmental Center’s Community Room, located at 6121 Franconia Road. For more information, visit their website.
