Police blotter: Woman robbed at knifepoint by two men in Hybla Valley

A 35-year-old women was robbed by two men yesterday afternoon in the Audubon Estates neighborhood in Hybla Valley, according to today’s Fairfax County Police blotter.

The victim was approached by the men around 1 p.m. near the intersection of Parrott Place and Pelican Drive. One man pulled a knife and demanded money, according to police. The other suspect then threw her to the ground and took an undisclosed amount of money from her purse, police said. The two men then fled. 

The woman did not need medical attention, police said.

Shoplifter arrested

Police say that a store security guard at the Marshalls in the 6700 block of Richmond Highway alerted police that he saw three men, who he recognized as serial shoplifters, leaving the store with merchandise. A lookout was broadcast and police were able to find the suspects’ vehicle and pull it over.

The driver, Keith Laboard, 49, of Baltimore, was arrested and charged with petit larceny. The other two suspects were released, according to police.
