Fairfax County Police have released images of a suspect and provided more details about an armed robbery at a Woodlawn-area Subway on Monday night.
The robbery happened just before 9 p.m. in the shop at 8768 Richmond Highway. Police say a man came into the store, sat down and then kept getting up to look out the door. Once all the other customers were gone, he went to the register and ordered food. When the employee opened the register, the assailant jumped behind the counter, pulled a handgun on the employee and pushed her away from the register. He then stole an undisclosed amount of cash and fled.
Images provided by police show a person in jeans, a hoodie and red high top sneakers jumping over the counter as the employee shields herself. He’s then pictured next to the employee, and then jumping back over the counter.
Police described the suspect as being a white male in his 20s, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall.
