Police blotter: Quality Inn robbed; woman scares off burglar
A pair of armed robbers hit the Quality Inn on Fordson Road in Hybla Valley last night, according to today’s police blotter.
The men entered the motel around 10:45 p.m. and demanded money from two employees, according to police. One robber jumped the counter to get the money while the other held the employees at gunpoint.
The assailants fled with an undisclosed amount of money, and the victims were not injured in the incident.
Woman scares off burglar
A woman in the Beacon Hill Apartments caught a man trying break into her home early this morning, according to the blotter.
Around 12:40 a.m., the woman heard glass breaking in another part of her apartment and went to investigate. She saw a person trying to climb through the window and confronted him, according to police. The burglar fled, and the woman was not injured in the incident, police said.
