Police blotter: Penn Daw 7-Eleven robbed, man mugged in Hybla Valley

The 7-Eleven at the intersection of North Kings Highway and School Street.
An armed man robbed the 7-Eleven at the corner of North Kings Highway and School Street on Saturday morning, the Fairfax County Police reported in today’s blotter.
The assailant entered the store around 5:10 a.m. and pulled a handgun on an employee, the police said. He took cash and cigarettes and then fled on foot, the police said. The employee was not injured during the incident.
This is at least the fourth time that 7-Eleven has been robbed since it opened in 2014.
Man robbed in Hybla Valley
It was also reported in today’s blotter that a man walking in the 3900 block of Sonora Place in Hybla Valley was mugged early Saturday morning.
Two assailants pulled a knife on the victim and demanded money, according to police. The victim was assaulted by one of the men after he tried to flee, and dropped his phone.
The assailants fled on foot, and the victim did not need medical attention, police said.
The police also reported the following larcenies from over the weekend:
- 8400 block of Graves Street, cash from residence
- 2300 block of Huntington Avenue, snacks from business
- 2300 block of Huntington Avenue, sunglasses from business
- 3100 block of Lockheed Boulevard, merchandise from business
- 7600 block of Richmond Highway, wallet from business
- 7900 block of Richmond Highway, merchandise from business
- 2600 block of Sherwood Hall Lane, merchandise from business
