Update: Husband arrested in stabbing death of woman in Woodlawn area

Police tape is seen blocking access to Diablo Court in the Woodlawn area this morning after a woman was found stabbed to death.

Fairfax County Police have arrested the husband of a woman found stabbed to death in the Woodlawn area this morning.

Ricardo Molina-Martinez was taken into custody this morning in connection with the killing of Yesenia Membrano-Diaz, 35.

The incident occurred shortly before 5 a.m., when police responded to a report of a woman bleeding on the sidewalk in the 8400 block of Diablo Court. A neighbor had heard a scream, and looked out the window and called police after seeing the victim laying on the ground, according to a police spokesperson.

Membrano-Diaz was pronounced dead on the scene..

Diablo Court, located a block from Richmond Highway off of Brevard Court, is lined with two-story townhouses in a community known as the Pinewood South Townhomes.
