Commuters using Telegraph Road can expect to see a flag crew directing traffic around an emergency stormwater pipe replacement operation beginning Wednesday, the Virginia Department of Transportation announced Tuesday.
The repairs will take place in the 7100 block, between between Dunsmore Road and Roxann Road, which is just north of the U.S. Coast Guard Station. Work, which will be done by VDOT contractors, will be limited to between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Although the repairs will require closures of both the northbound and southbound lanes at various points, only one lane will be closed at a time, a VDOT spokesman said.
The repairs will last around two weeks, weather permitting, according to VDOT.
