You see deer pretty much everywhere in Fairfax County. But on the roof of a Metro station? That might be a first.
Covering the Corridor spotted these deer on Thursday afternoon near the south end of the Huntington Metro platform. They could be seen from the platform on a hill next to the tracks after a train pulled in. Fences prevented them from getting into the station, but when they walked to the top of the hill through a wooded area, they were able to walk right onto the roof.
The deer very slowly crossed to the other side, probably looking around for 10-15 minutes before the leader of the group finally went all the way.
