Police blotter: Pizza delivery man robbed; guns stolen from residence

A pizza delivery man suffered minor injuries during a robbery Friday night in Hybla Valley, according to the Fairfax County Police.

The delivery driver, 54, was assaulted by two teenagers in the 7900 block of Janna Lee Avenue after getting out of his car. A female assailant attempted to grab the driver’s pizza while a male assailant approached and physically attacked him, police said.

The teens didn’t take the pizza but stole the driver’s keys before fleeing, according to police. The victim was treated at the scene for his injuries.

Man robbed of phone, wallet

A 20-year-old man walking the Audubon Estates mobile home community was robbed early this morning.

The incident happened around 12:55 a.m. in the 7900 block of  Audubon Drive. The victim told police that a man came up behind him and assaulted him. The assailant fled with the victim’s wallet and cell phone.

The victim declined treatment for his injuries, police said.

Guns stolen

Multiple guns were stolen from a residence in the 4200 block of Laurel Road in the Woodlawn area sometime over the weekend. No further details were provided by police.

7900 block of Richmond Highway, Oct. 1: Police were called to a business for a shoplifting report around 4 p.m. The suspect attempted to flee when police arrived but was apprehended nearby. Jaymon Harris, 19, of Alexandria, was charged with grand larceny and resisting arrest.
