Police Blotter: 68-year-old man assaulted, robbed at Belle View Shopping Center

A 68-year-old man was robbed after leaving a store in the Belle View Shopping Center on Friday night, according to Monday’s police blotter.

The man had just excited a store in the 1600 block of Belle View Boulevard at 11:11 p.m. when two men called out to him, police said. The man ignored the suspects, walked to his car and began loading his groceries. At that point the two assailants began assaulting him, and during the struggle took the man’s keys, police said.

Police were able to locate one of the suspects in the area following the incident. Brennen Holloman, of Washington, D.C., was arrested and charged with robbery and assault.

The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
