Kabob restaurant coming to Telegraph Road in Huntington area

Tanger Kabob House will move into 5735A Telegraph Road, a spot formerly occupied by a furniture and decor store.

A new restaurant has signed a lease to open up in a small shopping center on Telegraph Road in the Huntington area.

Tanger Kabob House will move into 5735A Telegraph Road, part of a row of shops across from Jefferson Manor Park. The space had been vacant since a furniture and decor business closed last year.

Jackson Prentice, whose company is responsible for leasing shops in the center, confirmed that Tanger Kabob is coming. He said that in addition to kabobs, the restaurant will also serve items like subs and pizza.

“It’ll be a good family place,” Prentice said.

Construction permits for Tanger Kabob were processed by Fairfax County earlier this week; it’s unclear when work will begin or when the restaurant will open.

The shopping center, which was built in 1957, is anchored by a Burke & Herbert Bank. It also features Color Flooring, C&K Cleaners, and Tobacco Mart.
