Fairfax County Police pursued two armed robbery suspects into Maryland after a holdup on Richmond Highway early this morning.
The robbery happened around 3:15 a.m. at a 7-Eleven near Lukens Lane in the Woodlawn area. Police said two armed suspects entered the store, forced two employees and a delivery person into a back room, and robbed the store.
Police were called and the chase began after an officer spotted the suspects’ car going north on Richmond Highway. The pursuit continued across the Wilson Bridge into Maryland, and then onto Interstate 295. Police ended the pursuit at that point for safety reasons, according to a police public information officer.
Park Police later found the suspects’ vehicle in Northeast D.C., but the suspects remain at large at this time.
None of the robbery victims were injured, according to police.
