A 42-year-old man who had just finished shopping at the Walmart in the Kings Crossing Shopping CenterĀ on Richmond Highway was carjacked yesterday afternoon, according to the Fairfax Police.
The victim was entering his 2002 Honda Odyssey when a man got in the van through the passenger door, implied he had a weapon and asked the victim to drive him around, according to police. The victim got out of the car and yelled for help, but the suspect pushed him away from the van and drove off, striking another vehicle as he fled.
The victim was uninjured, according to police.
Police found the van on the shoulder of I-495 not far from Richmond Highway. K9 units responded but were unable to find the suspect, police said.
