Police blotter: Early-morning motorcycle heist thwarted by alert neighbor

A person looking out their window at 4:45 a.m. helped police catch a pair of alleged thieves early Wednesday morning.
The incident happened at the Mount Vernon Square Apartments in the 2700 block of Arlington Drive. According to police, a citizen spotted two men loading a motorcycle into a trailer and called 911. The men drove off but were quickly located and arrested by responding officers.
Justin Wright, 25, and Tariq Felder, 20, both of Woodbridge, were each charged with grand larceny. Wright was also charged with possession of burglarious tools.
Teens break into occupied house
Four teens broke into a house in Hybla Valley on Wednesday afternoon while a resident was inside, according to police.
The resident told police that the four males kicked a window screen open and entered the house in the 7900 block Janna Lee Avenue. The resident exited the home and called police, and the teens fled before officers could arrive. Nothing was reported taken.
