School bus attendant convicted of indecent exposure in lewd pics case
A Fairfax County Public Schools bus attendant was convicted of indecent exposure earlier this month in a case where he was accused of sending inappropriate pictures to a high school student.
Morrice D. Stephenson, 25, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor indecent exposure on Sept. 1, according to the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court records department. He received a 12-month suspended jail sentence and was also ordered to have no contact of any kind with the 16-year-old victim.
Stephenson was arrested in January and charged with two felony counts of solicitation of a minor for allegedly sending the Quander Road School student at least two inappropriate pictures of himself. The incidents occurred in November and December of 2015, according to police.
Quander Road School specializes in teaching students with emotional disabilities in grades 9-12.
Stephenson, who lives in the Groveton area, had worked for FCPS as a full-time bus attendant since Nov. 2014, according to a spokesman for the school system. He was suspended without pay after his arrest, and the spokesman said he is currently in the process of being terminated.
Editor’s note: This story was updated after receiving confirmation from an FCPS spokesman that Stephenson was in the process of being terminated.
