Huntington Metro riders help police catch suspect in sexual assault case

Two commuters at the Huntington Metro station yesterday spotted a man wanted by Prince George’s County Police just hours after authorities had released his photo to the public.

Darren Robinson, 23, was taken into taken into custody at the station after the riders contacted Metro Transit Police, according to the Prince George’s County Police. The two citizens recognized Robinson because they had seen his photo earlier in the day, police said.

Robinson is accused of breaking into an apartment in New Carrollton on Sunday morning, sexually assaulting a woman who lived there and taking property before fleeing.

Prince George’s County police said Robinson did not have a fixed address.
