Police have arrested a man for allegedly exposing himself to a 10-year-old girl in the Fort Hunt area not far from a local middle school.

Fairfax County Police detectives charged Jovica Stanisic on Aug. 24 with taking indecent liberties with children, a felony. Stanisic’s address was listed as Brockham Drive in the Hybla Valley area.

Stanisic, 26, allegedly exposed and touched himself inappropriately in front of the girl while sitting in his car near the intersection of Stable Drive and Stirrup Lane on Aug. 16, police said.

Stanisic pulled up next to the girl and her friend as they were walking to Riverside Gardens Pool and asked them for directions to nearby Carl Sandburg Middle School, police said. The suspect drove away after the girl gave him directions and did not try to lure the girl into the car, according to police.

The police said they “strongly believe” that Stanisic may have been involved in similar incidents. They released pictures of Stanisic’s two cars — a silver 2010 Mercedes sedan and a dark gray 2015 Chrysler 200— as well as a distinctive tattoo on his right shoulder in attempt to get more information from the community.
