Richmond Highway-area farmers markets begin this week

Farmers market season kicks off in the Richmond Highway corridor this week.
The McCutcheon/Mount Vernon Farmers Market starts its season tomorrow at the Sherwood Library at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane. The market runs every Wednesday from 8 a.m.-noon until Dec. 16.
Vendors at the McCutcheon/Mount Vernon Farmers Market include:

- Twin Springs Fruit Farm
- Valentine’s Country Bakery and Meats
- Whim Pop
At the north end of the corridor, the Huntington Farmers Market is back after a successful first year. Like last year, the market will operate each Thursday from 3-7 p.m. But the location has moved across the street to 5803 North Kings Highway, in front of the former Metro Transit Police building near the entrance to the Huntington Metro.
