Upcoming Historic Huntley events include tea party, farm day
Historic Huntley’s grounds reopened to the public this month and the Hybla Valley landmark will be hosting multiple family-friendly events throughout April.
First up is Bread and Butter Tea, scheduled for noon-1 p.m. on Saturday, March 9. Children and adults can make their own butter, drink tea, hear stories and get a tour of the mansion. Ages 4 and up are welcome, and are encouraged to bring their Teddy bear, doll or toy truck. Admission is $7 per person. You can register here or see more info here.
Visitors can get a special evening tour of the grounds on Friday, April 15. The Twilight Hilltop Tour will allow guest to see the sunset from the elevated perch Huntley is built on. The event starts at 7 p.m., and light refreshments will be served.
Huntley Farm Day will be held on Saturday, April 16 from 1-4 p.m. The event will feature tours, farm animals, displays and ice cream. Farm Day is sponsored by Friends of Historic Huntley, and a $5 donation is suggested.
Huntley will restart Saturday tours of its buildings on April 30. The tours run through October 1. You can get schedule and price information on the Huntley website.
