Police blotter: Burglaries, attempted burglary reported over weekend

Two burglaries and one attempted burglary were reported in the Richmond Highway area over the weekend, according to Monday’s police blotter.

The first burglary was early Friday in the 8600 block of Cushman Place (see map), which is in the Waynewood neighborhood. Someone entered a home around 5 a.m. and took clothing, police said.

Later that morning an attempted burglary was reported on the other side of Route 1 in Hybla Valley. A resident in the 7900 block of Audubon Avenue (see map) heard a noise outside their home around 9 a.m., and spotted three people running away. No entry was made, police said.

On Saturday night around 11:50 p.m., residents in the Woodlawn area heard a noise in their house and found a person standing inside their home in the 8400 block of Osman Drive (see map), police said. The residents yelled at the man and he ran off, police said. No description was provided.
