Take a tour of Lee District bike improvements this Sunday

The Fairfax Alliance for Better Bicycling (FABB) will be having a Lee District Ride this Sunday to showcase recent improvements to bicycle infrastructure in the area.

The ride will start at 9 a.m. at the Rose Hill Shopping Center (see map) and last approximately three hours. It’s open to anyone interested. 

The route, seen below, will be a loop that covers a total of 13 miles. Riders will see the Kingstowne Village Parkway after it’s recent “road diet,” newly buffered bike lanes on Telegraph Road and the just-completed bike lanes on Rose Hill Drive. You’ll also get to see how to ride to the Springfield Metro and to-be-built Cinderbed Bikeway.

All riders must wear a helmet and sign a liability waiver. You can register for the ride on Eventbrite and get more information on the FABB website.
