Police blotter: Man robbed at gunpoint on Belle View Boulevard

A man walking to work was robbed early Monday morning by two men with handguns, according to Fairfax County Police.

The robbery happened in the 2100 block of Belle View Boulevard around 6 a.m. when the victim was approached by the two assailants, who each drew their weapons. The robbers were able to take money and property from the victim before fleeing to a nearby vehicle, a police spokesman said. 

Police responded with the Fairfax1 helicopter and K9 units, but were unable to locate the suspects.  

The incident was the first armed robbery in the past six months in the 22207 area code, according to police data on crimereports.com.
