Fairfax County will hold a third Public Information Meeting on the Richmond Highway Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held in the gymnasium at Bryant High School located at 2709 Popkins Lane in Alexandria. The meeting will feature an open house from 6:30-8:30 p.m., with a presentation at 7 p.m. Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) staff and project consultants will provide updates on the BRT project (including the system design and potential property impacts), discuss next steps, answer questions and take public comments from the community related to the planning and design of the BRT system.
In compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act (Section 106 and 36 CFR, Part 800), information concerning the potential effects of the proposed project on properties listed in or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places will be provided in the project’s environmental documentation and will be available for comment at this meeting.
