Discovery Day at Historic Huntley

April 14 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

From the Fairfax County Park Authority: Calling all history detectives! Did you know that Huntley Meadows Park was once the property of one of our Founding Fathers? Discover the hidden history of Historic Huntley by making (and tasting) homemade butter or cranking your own ice cream at Huntley Discovery Day, Saturday, April 14 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Sleuth through documents, maps, artifacts, and architecture to discover which Founding Father once owned Huntley Meadows Park. You can also build with blocks, make your own map, and learn your alphabet the old-fashioned way. More fun activities for the whole family with representatives of Gunston Hall, the Friends of Fairfax Archaeology, and Fairfax County Courthouse. Sponsored by The Friends of Historic Huntley.

This program is free.
