Get a taste of what life was like for the Native Americans living in Virginia centuries ago. Come to the “Corn Grinding & Clay Pottery” program at Huntley Meadows Park on Sunday, November 10, 2019.
Discover how the Powhatan Native Americans used the plants and animals you see every day for their medicine, grocery store, clothing and fun. Grind corn, make a clay pot, master corn darts and go on a guided tour to see Huntley Meadows from the perspective of a Virginia Indian. Immerse yourself in a way of life from 400 years ago.
This program is designed for participants age four to adult. It runs from 2 to 4 p.m., and the cost is $12 per person.
