Police blotter: Gas station attendant restrained during armed robbery

The Liberty Gas Station at the corner of Richmond Highway and Arlington Drive was robbed late Thursday by a gun-wielding assailant.
An armed man restrained a gas station attendant during a robbery Thursday night in the Hybla Valley area, the Fairfax Police reported in today’s blotter.
The incident occurred around 11 p.m. at the Liberty gas station at 7500 Richmond Highway, close to the intersection of Arlington Drive. According to police, the man displayed a gun, restrained the employee and took money from him and the register before fleeing.
The employee did not require medical attention, according to police. Police would not reveal how the employee was restrained, citing the ongoing investigation into the case.
Traffic stop leads to weapons, drug charges
A Woodbridge man is facing charges after a traffic stop allegedly uncovered a concealed weapon and illegal drugs, according to the blotter.
William E. Castellon, 19, was pulled over around 3:05 p.m. in the 8600 block of Richmond Highway. While investigating, police said they found the drugs and the gun in his vehicle. Castellon was arrested on charges of concealing a weapon without a permit and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.
