Police are looking for the public’s help to identify one of the suspects involved in the robbery of a 58-year-old woman outside a 7-Eleven in the Woodlawn area earlier this month.
The incident happened Nov. 18 around 6:30 a.m. in the 8400 block of Frye Road. The victim took cash out of an ATM inside the 7-Eleven, walked outside and was thrown to the ground from behind by a man, police said. Another man took her wallet and both fled toward a nearby apartment complex.
Police have one suspect in custody already. Ky’ree Tihoe, 18, was arrested at his home on Nov. 21 and charged with robbery. Tihoe lives on Pondside Terrace in the Woodlawn area, not far from the 7-Eleven.
The second suspect is described as being 18-26 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall. During the robbery he was wearing a red jacket with a reflective vest over it, tan pants and “construction style boots,” police said.
Police say anyone with information should call Detective E.L. Carpenter at 703-360-8400, or contact Crime Solvers electronically by visiting www.fairfaxcrimesolvers.org.
