Hybla Valley bank robbed

A bank located in the Mount Vernon Square shopping center in Hybla Valley was held up earlier today, according to police.

The incident happened around 12:35 p.m. at the M&T Bank, which is located near the intersection of Arlington Drive and Richmond Highway. Police say a man, pictured above, walked into the bank and handed a teller a note implying he had a weapon. The teller gave the man an unspecified amount of cash and he fled.

The Fairfax Police helicopter and K9 units responded to the scene, but the assailant was not caught. Nobody was injured in the robbery.
