Bennie Owens faces charges of reckless handling of a firearm and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors, after allegedly firing the weapon multiple times around 5:45 p.m.

Police say that “a dispute between multiple parties” in a home in the 6900 block of Deer Run Drive (see map) preceded the gunfire. Owens is accused of shooting “multiple times” towards a man and woman who left the home. He also allegedly fired the rifle towards woods near the house.

Owens was arrested, and a weapon was seized by officers, according to the police. He was released on his own recognizance, according to court records.
