Booster clubs holding Christmas tree sales

Edison’s tree sale is held in front of the school at 5801 Franconia Drive.

If you’re out looking for a Christmas tree today and this week, Richmond Highway-area high school booster clubs are having sales to benefit the schools’ sports teams. 

• The Edison Athletic Boosters are holding a sale at the school from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. During the week the stand is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday hours are from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Edison is located at 5801 Franconia Road (see map).
• The Mount Vernon Athletic Boosters are holding their sale at the football stadium from noon-6 p.m. today. Mount Vernon is located at 8515 Old Mount Vernon Highway (see map).
• The West Potomac Athletic Boosters, behind Sandburg Middle School from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday. During the week you can buy a tree there from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9-6. West Potomac’s crew team is also selling wreaths there on weeknights. Sandburg Middle School is located at 8428 Fort Hunt Road (see map).
