Police blotter: Boy chased, robbed in area of Mount Vernon Square Apartments

A boy was chased and robbed by three teenagers Tuesday at a Hybla Valley apartment complex, according to Wednesday’s Fairfax County Police blotter.

The incident happened around 5:35 p.m. around the intersection of Arlington Drive and Windbreak Drive, which separates parts of the Mount Vernon Square Apartments (see map). The boy — police did not give his age — was pushed to the ground after being caught by the teenagers, police said. He was not injured during the incident, according to police.

The assailants took the boy’s backpack, police said. Police dogs responding to the incident found the backpack in the area, but the boy’s wallet was missing, police said.
