Police release sketch of suspect in abduction, sexual assault of 5-year-old girl

Police have released a sketch of a suspect in the abduction and sexual assault of a 5-year-old girl in the Beacon Hill area on Sunday.

The suspect is described as a light-skined Hispanic male in his mid-20s to early 30s. He’s believed to be about 5 feet 9 inches, clean-shaven and around 200 pounds with black hair.

A relative of the young girl noticed she was missing from the common area of her apartment complex in the 6700 block of Tower Drive around 5 p.m. on Sunday, according to police. The girl returned a short while later and reported what happened to her.

Police will be canvassing the Beacon Hill area this afternoon around 5 p.m., according to a department spokeswoman. They will be distributing a double-sided flyer featuring a sketch of the suspect and information on the case, with one side in English and the other in Spanish.
