Police blotter: Man snatches purse from 71-year-old woman

A woman walking down the street had her purse snatched from her yesterday morning, according to today’s Fairfax County Police blotter.

The incident happened around 7:45 a.m. in the 7800 block of Audubon Avenue, which is in the Audubon Estates trailer park. A man grabbed the purse and ran away, police said. Her purse was later found, but her wallet was missing.

The victim did not need medical attention, police said.
