Police investigating two weekend shootings not far from where man shot last week

Police are investigating two shooting incidents in the Hybla Valley area over the weekend, both of which occurred not far from a shooting last week that wounded an 18-year-old man.

The first shooting happened early Saturday morning between 12:10 and 12:30 a.m. in the 7900 block of Audubon Avenue, according to police. At least five cars and one apartment building were hit by the gunfire, but no injuries were reported.

The second shooting happened in the same area of Audubon Avenue around 11:40 p.m. Sunday night. “Several” shots were fired into an apartment at a different building, police said. Nobody was injured.

Police are investigating whether the shootings are isolated or they’re possibly related to a shooting Thursday afternoon in the 7900 block of Janna Lee Avenue. That incident left an 18-year-old man in stable condition at a local hospital. No arrests have been made in that case.
