Brideau has been serving as Inova Mount Vernon’s interim CEO since last month. He replaces Deborah Addo, who is now CEO of Inova Loudoun Hospital. Addo had been CEO at Inova Mount Vernon since June 2014, and oversaw the opening of the hospital’s new family emergency department last year.

A family physician with specialty interests in dermatology, cosmetic procedures, smoking cessation and musculoskeletal disorders, Brideau has been with Inova for 25 years. He previously served as Inova Mount Vernon’s chief operating officer and chief medical officer.

“Being part of the Inova Mount Vernon Hospital medical staff and administrative teams for over 25 years, I am proud of this hospital and all we stand for,” Brideau said in a press release.  “As a long-time local resident, I have trusted Inova Mount Vernon Hospital for the care my own family.  It is a privilege and an honor to step in to this new role. Our mission will never waiver: to put the needs of our patients and their families first.”
