Update at 3:05 p.m. on 1/23: Police said Monday that the condition of the boy, who is 14 years old, is improving. He was wounded in the torso, according to police. No arrests have been made.
Original story: A teenage boy was shot and seriously wounded early this morning in the Virginia Hills neighborhood near South Kings Highway.
Police say that around 1 a.m. they were called to the 6600 block of The Parkway for a report of a shooting and found the youth. He was taken to a local hospital with serious but stable injuries, police said.
No other information was released.
