Ebbin, McKay and Sickles

State Sen. Adam Ebbin, Lee District Supervisor Jeff McKay and State Del. Mark Sickles

Lee District constituents can meet with Supervisor Jeff McKay and area state politicians at the Lee District Town Meeting this Saturday at Mount Eagle Elementary School. McKay is also hosting his Annual Open House earlier in the day at the Franconia Governmental Center.

State Sen. Adam Ebbin (D-30) and Del. Mark Sickles (D-43) will join McKay at the town meeting, which runs from 1:30-3 p.m. The legistlators are slated to discuss what’s been happening during the current General Assembly session in Richmond, which started earlier this month.

Ebbin’s Senate district (see map) covers part of Lee District, as well as sections of Arlington, Alexandria and sections of Fairfax east of Route 1.

Sickles’ House district covers a large part of Lee District (see map).

Ebbin, who is in his second term as a senator after serving four terms in the House of Delegates, sits on the Agriculture, Conservation and Natural Resources Committee, the General Laws and Technology Committee, and the Privileges and Elections Committee.

Sickles, who is in his seventh term, sits on the House Appropriations Committee, the Health, Welfare and Institutions Committee, and the Privileges and Elections Committee.

McKay’s Open House is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Franconia Governmental Center’s Community Room, located at 6121 Franconia Road. Refreshments will be available, and McKay and his staff will be on hand to answer questions about transportation, land use, the budget or other topics.
