Fairfax Police say two men held up the 7-Eleven at 2405 Fairhaven Avenue early Saturday morning, marking the second time in just five days that the store was hit by robbers.

Saturday’s robbery happened around 2:30 a.m. when two men walked in and implied to the 7-Eleven workers that they had a weapon, according to police. The men left with an undisclosed amount of cash, and nobody was hurt, police said.

The robbery comes on the heels of an incident at the same store on June 7. In that case a man pulled a knife on two employees and left with cash and merchandise, according to police.

The Fairhaven Avenue store was also robbed last August during a multi-jurisdiction armed robbery spree targeting 7-Elevens that caught the attention of the FBI.

7-Elevens up and down the Richmond Highway corridor have been a frequent target of robbers lately. The two robberies last week marked at least the eighth time a corridor-area 7-Eleven has been held up in the past 10 months. Typically the robberies do not result in injuries, but a holdup in May at the Mount Vernon Memorial Highway 7-Eleven turned violent when an assailant pistol-whipped a clerk, causing injuries serious enough that the employee needed to taken to the hospital.

No arrests have been announced in any of the incidents.
